We are all aware of the large numbers of desperate asylum seekers coming to the UK for refuge. Many ecclesias are involved in supporting these people and have reached out to COG for help. We have set up a ‘Bags of Love’ refuge project that will be an ongoing, long-term source of aid by providing rucksacks and sleeping bags.
In the last month we have completed the first stage of this project and sent out around 280 sleeping bags and rucksacks to 10 Christadelphian church groups across the UK. We hope to share photos and reports on these soon as they arrive.
We will be setting up a fund for this and moving this particular project forward in the New Year 2020 when we have completed our annual winter appeal - Cups of Love- which we are busy setting up- not long now!
