A report from our church in Ware:
We received 10 sleeping bags and 10
rucksacks from COG in the 2nd week of December and set about
amassing all the contents. For several years now we have been working with
Streets2Homes (S2H) which does amazing work with those who are homeless in
Harlow. They gave us a list of the most important items to include so that if
someone turned up on their doorstep late and could not be found accommodation
at least they had the basic necessities to keep them going until the next day.
The sleeping bags, 10 completed
rucksacks for men together with additional items for 10 ladies and a variety of
clothing were delivered to S2H the Monday before Christmas and were very
gratefully received.
The rucksacks contained 25 different
items including an emergency blanket, a variety of toiletries, a metal thermos
so that S2H could provide them with hot soup to take away, underwear, warm
hats, gloves and scarves plus a gospel of Luke with a label giving all our
contact details should the recipients wish to get in touch.
The following photos give some idea of
the process …

Very many thanks to COG for generously
providing the sleeping bags and rucksacks to get us started.
