Another lovely report from our Guildford church that has taken part in our 'Hug a Home' project. If you would like to receive £300 to help your local care home please let us know- we would love to hear from you!
We identified a local nursing home that is in need of help. They have a new manager who was very grateful for our donations and hopefully continued support. They want to set up a meeting with our group to see how we could help ongoing with volunteering to go in and chat with residents.
We plan to write to each resident once a month, many of them don't seem to have visitors.
The manager was also keen to learn about us and our church and we'll be inviting them via zoom to our Christmas eve and New Year's Eve meeting.
The project has been a great success and something really worthwhile to get involved in.
