Report from Barney in Bradford:
We’re pleased to continue working with the
Christadelphian
Outreach Group and to support
The Orchard Day Shelter in Bradford
again this
year. On 4 November, we
delivered 20
rucksacks for homeless people to the Day Shelter as part of the
2018 Bags of Love
appeal.
We placed a copy
of Luke’s gospel inside each
one and gave bags of underwear, hats, gloves, wet wipes, sanitary
items, toothbrushes,
torches, etc. alongside the rucksacks.
Simon and Foday at the Day Shelter were very
pleased with
the rucksacks. Simon gave us an update on the work of the
shelter. Their Street
Outreach Team, which goes out 3
times each week, will use the things we have donated to make up
packs for people
in immediate need according to the needs of each individual.
Thanks to everyone who has donated to the Bags of Love appeal again
this year.
