Community meal

COMMUNITY MEAL
When you work in a community you soon realize that loneliness is a huge problem.
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗹.

Halls with kitchen facilities and toilets are like gold dust in many areas and we have them! So if you have a few people in your church that can provide a breakfast or hot meal, why not launch it and see what happens?
Let your local support services know, food bank, Age UK, CAB, elderly housing, children's centres- whatever is in your area- and maybe leaflet an invite locally or put on Facebook.
Breakfasts don’t need to be cooked, they can be croissants and pastries if need be and the meal can be very simple or even soup- the main thing is that you are following the example of Jesus and gathering people around food to create a relationship and open their hearts.
And even if nobody turns up people will have clocked that you want to help and are receptive and warm to their needs.
Low cost but huge value to your neighbours.
NB Don’t forget to check you meet the local authority food hygiene regulations
