Car park

𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝟭

In my village, there is a pub next to the school. Over the years, the landlords have varied on their approach to the school run.
Some have put out an open invitation to parents to use their car park, while others have asked us not to.
For me, this has been a silent signal of the generosity of the owners.
The use of the car park made a daily difference to the lives of many, at a stressful time of the day.
𝑰𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂 𝒄𝒂𝒓 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒌, 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒕?
We can sometimes ‘own’ our material assets, and keep them to ourselves, maybe due to fear of harm or damage.
The local community may not come into our halls, but they are always watching us and looking for the fruit of our faith.
Car parking in cities is often hard to find - so why lock them up when they're not in use?
